The final submission date for the Sybren Hellinga Art Prize is Monday, August 8, 2022, at 23.59 hours at the latest. The participation form will automatically close at midnight.

• Can I apply for the Sybren Hellinga Art Prize 2022 if I have obtained a bachelor’s degree in art outside the Netherlands and a master’s degree in the Netherlands?

Yes, you can. However, you can only apply for the Sybren Hellinga Art Prize 2022 if you work and live in the Netherlands.

• Can I apply for the Sybren Hellinga Art Prize 2022 if I have obtained a bachelor’s degree in (for example) design and a master’s degree in the arts in the named period?

Yes, you can. However, we expect to see a portfolio and CV of an autonomous art practice.

• Can I apply for the Sybren Hellinga Art Prize 2022 if I obtained my master’s degree in the period from June 1, 2017, but my bachelor’s degree before June 1, 2017

No, the prize is only intended for young artists who finished a bachelor’s degree between June 1, 2017 and July 15, 2022.
