On Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July 2022, there will be another Art Weekend in Beetsterzwaag, which takes place around the Hoofdstraat. This year’s theme is ‘Open your heart’.
Sol Archer will be in residence at Kunsthuis SYB from May 30 until July 10 2022 to develop a film work about the maintenance of environments and ecosystems through gardening practices.
During Arcadia (May 7 to August 14, 2022), the entrance hall of the Fries Museum will be brought to life with a so called speculative installation titled SWIET – SWIT.
Kunsthuis SYB welcomes Charlotte Eta Mumm. She started the first part of her residency ‘Grund’ on April 7 and will stay at SYB until May 5 to research and collect different types of Frisian soil.
What can you do and make in 24 hours? From March 23th to April 3rd, 18 third- and fourth-year students from Academy Minerva will spend one day and one night at Kunsthuis SYB.
On Sunday the 20th of March, Liza Prins will be presenting her project Bitterswiet – A Tiny Mulder Inquiry at Kunsthuis SYB.
The Fries Museum in Leeuwarden has acquired two works by Inge Meijer that she developed last summer at Kunsthuis SYB.

Liza Prins is the next artist to be a guest at Kunsthuis SYB for a residency. From 7 February to 20 March, she will delve into the life and work of Tiny Mulder.

During Langstme, the Triennial of Beetsterzwaag, the members of SYB Circles recorded three short podcasts.
Together with Vanessa van t’Hoogt (SYB Circles/PhD candidate RuG) & Michiel Teeuw (designer) Janne van Gilst worked on an interactive website about her work and work process in Kunsthuis SYB.
